SM Money & rewards

Refund credit is money returned from an eligible refund. It has no expiry and can cover the fare and booking fee, up to the available credit.

Rewards come from eligible cashback and referral offers. They can cover up to 10% of the fare after offers, within your available rewards balance. Rewards cannot pay the booking fee and expire 12 calendar months after they are added to SM Money.

Using either balance is optional. Checkout shows how much can be used and what remains to pay through eSewa.

1. 1Every successful passenger booking earns one scratch card worth Rs. 1–30. There is a 95% chance of Rs. 1–14 and a 5% chance of Rs. 15–30.
2. 2Open Scratch cards in My account and scratch or choose Reveal without scratching to claim it.
3. 3The reward becomes spendable after both claiming the card and completing the journey. You can reveal it before travel, but cannot spend it yet.
4. 4Claim an unclaimed card within six calendar months after the journey completes. Once the reward is added, its separate 12-month reward expiry starts.

Open Referrals in My account to see your referral code, share link and the current offer rules. A shared code or a new signup alone does not make a reward spendable: the qualifying journey must be completed and the offer conditions met.

During payment, the SM Money you selected is reserved for that booking. It cannot be used for another booking at the same time. If payment does not complete, the reservation is released once its result is known.

Rewards that expire during an active reservation can finish that payment. If the reservation is released after their expiry, those rewards return as expired. Cancelling a booking does not restart the expiry of rewards you spent.
