Cancellations & refunds

See your refund before cancelling and follow the money afterwards.

Manage a booking

Cancel a booking

  1. 1Open My bookings and choose the confirmed journey you want to cancel.
  2. 2Choose Cancel booking before its scheduled departure. All seats on that booking cancel together.
  3. 3Review the cancellation charge, retained booking fee, refund amount and where each part of the refund will go. Choose the available refund option.
  4. 4Confirm only when you are ready to give up those seats. Check the cancellation result and refund status in the booking.

Why refund amounts can change

Your ticket has cancellation time windows saved at booking. The closer you are to the scheduled trip departure, a different charge may apply. The refund preview uses those saved rules, your offer and how you paid; there is no single 90% refund rule for all journeys.

For current bookings, the cancellation charge is based on the original seat fare, capped at the fare you actually paid after offers. The NPR 25 booking fee is kept when you cancel. We do not add another gateway charge or a fee for choosing SM Money.

Earlier bookings follow their saved fee and cancellation rules. Always use the refund amount shown for that specific ticket.

Where the refund goes

Refund credit used for the fare returns to refund credit. Rewards used for the fare return as rewards with their original expiry date; a reward that has already expired cannot be used again.

For the part paid through eSewa, choose the original payment source or SM Money when offered. Choosing SM Money adds that eligible part as refund credit with no expiry. There is no extra conversion charge.

Cashback for a cancelled booking is cancelled too. A coupon discount is not money paid and is not refunded as cash.

Follow your refund

The booking shows whether a refund is being reviewed, waiting to be returned or has been completed. A return to the original payment source needs payment processing and verification. Check both the recorded status and the original payment account; contact support if they do not agree.

Some payments and earlier bookings need review before a refund can be completed. We will not show an unverified payment as refunded. Support can investigate using your booking and payment references.

If the operator cancels

If the operator cancels the trip and the journey is not provided, the collected booking amount, including the booking fee, is refundable without a passenger cancellation charge. Contact support about a service disruption or a journey that materially changed.
